I'm a beginning birder so I don't post much to the group, I just
listen. I regularly drive Slater Road on my way to Lummi Island and I
often see large flocks of small birds. I have been wondering what they
are, so thank you for letting me know they may be pine siskins! Also on
Sunday afternoon about 12:15, I saw a large flock of trumpeter swans in
a field off Slater Rd, first time I've seen them this year.
