Hi folks,

Got the chance to do an early afternoon walk along the "Indian Trail"
(or whatever the Burien City people call it now....) to Three Tree Pt
and back to Maplewild Ave. Not too much exciting by the time I got
out - high tide at noon, and the wind'd picked up, but I saw:

Red-necked Grebe
Double-crested Cormorant
Great Blue Heron
Glaucous-winged Gull and hybrids
Bonaparte's Gull
Mew Gull
Rhinoceros Auklet
Mallard
Am. Wigeon
Harlequin Duck - pair
Surf Scoter
Band-tailed Pigeon
Rock Dove
Anna's Hummingbird - beautiful male at feeder!!
Steller's Jay
Red-tailed Hawk
Crow
Robin
Swainson's Thrush - isn't this late? Bird was really 'ratty' plumaged.
Black-capped Chickadee
Chestnut-backed Chickadee
Bushtit
Bewick's Wren
Winter Wren
House Finch
Pine Siskins
Song Sparrow
Golden-crowned Sparrow
House Sparrow
Starling

Also, Friday at noon, during a beautiful, sunny lunch hour in Olympia,
I saw a Bald Eagle, an Osprey, a Red-tailed Hawk and a Sharp-shinned
Hawk catching a thermal just east of the Capitol building. Pretty neat.
