Subject: Enormous crow, or is there a raven in Greenwood?

Twice this weekend, I've been startled by an enormous black bird flapping
by. The first time it looked like it might be coming in for a landing in
my backyard but changed it's mind when it saw me; the next time it was
flying over the neighbor's house. There are always plenty of crows around,
and normally even when they sneak up on me out of nowhere, I only think of
them as big, not shockingly huge. On the other hand, I've never seen a
raven, wasn't able to get a really good look at this guy because each
incident was too fast (and I'm slow), and I didn't know until I looked it
up later that I should have looked at the tail shape (don't know if it
would have helped me even if I had...) So what are the odds? Was it most
likely just an extra large crow, or could it really have been a raven? I
didn't hear any odd croaks, and it wasn't being mobbed by anything, if that
matters.

Thanks!
