Hi Tweeters,
After seeing what I assumed to be a RUFOUS Hummingbird in the yard on
Thursday several people have suggested that it might not be a RUFOUS but an
ANNAS Hummingbird. So after speaking to my neighbour and finding out that
the bird was still there yesterday I decided to see if I could confirm what
kind of Hummer it was. At 5:00 tonight I went out in the yard and sure
enough about 5 minutes later the bird showed up at my neighbours feeder. It
came at least 7 times over the 1/2 hour and neither my husband nor myself
can find any sign of brown on it. Now I am completely unsure as to what kind
of Hummingbird this is so if anyone can give me some tips on identification
it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
