Help, o tweeters, help. I was walking my dog among some tall douglas firs
near my apartment in Federal Way, a rather woodsy complex when I was
surprised to see a flock of tiny little birds, one of whom was only about
three feet from me and looking at me without a speck of fear. He was bushtit
size and gray but with a tiny tail, a white eyebrow and a white stripe on
the crown of his head! He and his friends made little peepy noises not
unlike bushtits but what to make of his unusual (for a bushtit) markings?
What is he? Who is he? Should I invite him in for tea?
