Hello Tweeters,
This is the first time in a long time i staying home. It realy feels
strange and i almost felt bad after the sun came out in the afternoon. But
visiting Dennis yesterday confirmed me the season for Dragonflies are over.
And i be going in to a kind of depression that the season is over.
My Son Patrick was standing out with his binoculars and than told me to
come out:we had a late WESTERN TANAGER in our Birdbath. That kind of pepped
me up and i got all exited to take few shots with my camera. A bird in the
vbirthbath makes extreme good photos when there splashing in the water, i
dont care what bird it is.Patrick been telling me almost over a week he is
hearing a WESTERN TANAGER early in the morning, so this bird been around
quite long time. I must mention we selden get Tanager in our yard, even so
it is a common species there are not attracted to our yard. Then also it is
late for them to be still here even so some will over winter. The cut of
time is middle September. I was certainly trilled to have this kind of bird
in my yard. The other think was , Patrick spotted a Darner in our yard
flying around proable on his last leg. Than later we heared a DOUGLAS
SQUIRREL in the corner of our yard high in the Douglas fir trees. It been
six years since we had a DOUGLAS SQUIRREL here in Fircrest where i live. I
believe that the EASTERN GRAY SQUIRREL chased them all out. I dont live to
far from Snake Lake Nature Center where we had them in abundance, but
there been there also hard to find.So life will go on to continue for other
new discoveries.

Good Birding!!!!!!
