This afternoon while sitting at my computer I noticed a NORTHERN FLICKER at
my suet feeder. The bird had no mustache and about half of the red crescent
on it's nape - it's wing linings were a pale salmon color. I'm assuming it
was an immature male red-yellow hybrid. Very handsome.
