Unlikely Friendship
October 15, 1999.
(NBC) - Cats normally chase birds, but there's nothing normal about this
next story. "Cassy" was a stray cat until he was adopted into a North
Attleboro, Massachusetts home a few weeks ago. The family gave the
malnourished kitten food and shelter. But not long after Cassy arrived,
a childhood friend also showed up.

Wallace Collito, owner: "We said, what's that thing over there... and he
said it's a crow and the crow come down and start playing with it.
Started flying around and playing with the cat. And I said, " My God,
they know each other"."

The vet guesses the crow was kicked out his nest as a baby and the
kitten was abandoned too. Somehow, they found each other and became
friends. Now every afternoon, the animals play together.

As I watched the video of the two playing (on TV) I was impressed at the
bond the two earthlings had formed...
Hopefully the story will air again tonight...
