Thanks to those who responded to my ID question about the bird who looked
like a Sage Thrasher but didn't have yellow eyes. Folks cited sources which
say that HY birds can have darker eyes through the fall and even as late as
May of the following year. I appreciate your taking the time to answer my
question. (BTW, as I have written this, I have been watching first a male
and now a female or juvenile Anna's Hummingbird at the feeder by my window.)
