The EURASIAN DOTTEREL was located at just before 8:30 AM, Sunday morning
just off Damon Point Rd near the Marina on the mudflats. It was observed in
bright sunlight for about 15 minutes before the fog rolled in. Occassionally
the fog would lift enough to see it again. Around 25 or more birders were
lucky to see it before it took off into the fog. About 10:30 when the fog
lifted, my wife and I relocated it further east along the road. She was able
to take a few photos before a noisy truck passing by scared it and the other
birds. It was not seen the rest of the morning.
