According to the US weather service, heavy rain and high
winds (gusts to 50mph) are predicted for Wednesday and
Thursday. October storms have produced interesting
seabirds at parking C (and I mean in the parking lot)
including:
Arctic Tern
Common Tern
Sabine's Gull
Parasitic Jaeger
Red Phalarope
Red-necked Phalarope

as well as near shore Northern Fulmar and Short-tailed
Shearwater. This is an excellent time for the dramamine
resistant birder to pick up some pelagics.
