I didn't see the birds you saw, so I can't know what they were, BUT
albanistic starlings do happen. I have observed a number of them here
over the past few years including two together in a flock of fewer than
100 birds. Each of these birds was unique, ranging in color from
"chocolate milk" to "dirty white".
