Subject: [BIRDCHAT] New Species

I understand that a new species of Swallow was seen and studied this past
spring at the Ballard locks in Seattle, Washington. The chief characteristic
is that the bird collects moss from around the base of the lock walls and
gates, then builds its nest mainly out of this material. It has tentatively
been named the Lock Moss-nester.
