Columbia Estuary Report - 10/31/1999
A SWAMP SPARROW was at the Astoria Mitigation Bank this morning.
A LESSER YELLOWLEGS was with 6 GREATER YELLOWLEGS on the tide
flats of the Lewis & Clark River nearby.
A bit of a storm last night blew in a few BONAPARTE'S GULLS
onto Youngs Bay. BONEY'S were also on Trestle Bay Yesterday.
The Saturday Seawatch turned up a BULLER'S SHEARWATER and a
POMARINE JAEGER along with 35 BROWN PELICANS and lots of
CALIFORNIA GULLS. 12 LAPLAND LONGSPURS were on the shorebird
flats a parking lot C, SJCR.
A LEACH'S STORM-PETREL, blown in during the storm on
Wednesday was reported by Scott Rea.
