I just happened to be perusing tweeters and noted the posts about the
Norwegian mystery stint. I'll vote for a Little Stint with a big bill.
The bird is tiny, as is clear in the photo with Ringed Plovers, with long
primaries and very contrastily marked upperparts. Its breast is darker
than that of any juvenile Western Sandpiper I've seen, and it really
looks as if it's too small for a Western. The Temminck's Stint looks as
large or larger. The bill looks large, but only in one photo, and notice
it's a blowup (2nd from bottom) of another photo (bottom), in which it
doesn't look quite so bulky.
