Friday, October 29, 2:08 PM. Hi, this is Greg Toffic in Seattle, 684-4836.
There was a SORA at Green Lake, shortly after one o'clock this afternoon. I
saw it briefly fly from underneath a wooden dock that is just east of the
Aqua[?] Theater and it flew weakly for 20 to 30 feet and dropped in to some
cattails that are closer to the Aqua Theater from that spot. I stayed around
for a few minutes and tried to find it. I walked out on the dock and looked
back towards the shore, but didn't see any motion or activity and didn't hear
it. Hope people can get a chance to see this bird. Good birding.

Friday, October 29, 7:38 PM. Hi, this is Carl Haynie, (425) 837-9293. I was
out birding in King County today. There was one EURASIAN WIGEON at Vashon
Island at the south end at
the Thalequah Ferry Landing. It was in with 8 AMERICAN WIGEON. At the Kent
Pond there was one PEREGRINE FALCON and at the southeast corner of Lake
Washington there was 11 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE right off shore. That's
it. Good Birding.

Saturday, October 30, 10:22 AM. Hi, Tom Aversa, (206) 782-7342 reporting a
late BLACK- THROATED GRAY WARBLER from Woodland Park Zoo this morning.

Saturday, October 30, 6:08 PM. This is Barry Levine. Today Richard Stroog [?]
and myself relocated the EURASIAN DOTTEREL originally reported by Tom Aversa.
The bird was found at low tide around 12 noon at the Ocean Shores Game Range.
It was loosely associated with a group of BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS and DUNLINS.
Also of note, we ran in to a birder from Colorado whose name I did not get,
he said that he saw the bird Thursday morning on the bay side of Damon Point.
Good luck and good birding.

Saturday, October 30, 6:18 PM. Hi, this is Dave Beaudette at (206) 365-2083.
Today, October the 30th, I birded Skagit County and didn't see too much out
of the ordinary, but I did have one SHORT-EARED OWL seen flying from the Snow
Goose Farm Parking Lot at the Skagit Wildlife Area.

That's all. Good birding.

Sunday, October 31, 10:51 AM. This Alan Greenich [?], (206) 329-6005,
reporting for Saturday, the 30th at the Edmunds Marina. In the afternoon,
amongst the many flock of usual suspects including many HEERMANN'S GULLS was
a dark JAEGER, probably an immature PARASITIC.

Sunday, October 31, 12:33 PM. This is Denny Grandstrand. Andy Stepnieski and
I were at Ocean Shores this morning, Sunday morning, at Bill's Spit at 8:45
we found the EURASIAN DOTTEREL. It stayed for about 5 minutes and took off,
possibly going over towards the Game Range. At the Point Brown Jetty, we
found one or two ROCK SANDPIPERS, quite a number of BLACK TURNSTONES and
SURFBIRDS.

Sunday, October 31, 5:47 PM. Hi, this is Stephen Mlodinow. Today Greg Toffic
and I birded around various points on the Olympic Peninsula as well as
Whidbey Island. Highlights were: mostly from the east end of the Port
Townsend Ferry in the morning while the winds were blasting ferociously. We
had a FULMAR, a SOOTY SHEARWATER, an unidentified dark SHEARWATER and 50 or
so unidentified PHALAROPES. Otherwise the most impressive thing was 22
EURASIAN WIGEONS at the 3 Crabs Restaurant including 19 males, 3 females.
There was also a hybrid WIGEON there as well. That's it. Good luck and good
birding.
