Long-billed Curlews are normally out of here by the first or second
week of August, so a report from Jane Grant on the Royal Slope of a
bird still there last week was of interest. Over the weekend she saw
a chick with it. After a March 8 sighting near there (early by about
12 days) we have a very late record, which pretty much mirrors what we
had for spring here. It started early but took forever to get here.
