I just returned from a backpack from Third Beach (near
LaPush) down to Goodman Creek and back. Generally saw the
normal birds, however there were two notable observations:

1. Peregrine Falcons were there again. They were easily
observable in trees above the beach at pretty close range.

2. Brown Pelicans are *abundant*. A full pelican rookery
has taken hold on Rounded Island just off shore from Toleak
Point. There are hundreds of pelicans cruising around in
all directions from the rookery.

List below is pretty ordinary:
NW Crow (more abundant than usual)
Bald Eagle
Peregrine Falcon
Great Blue Heron
Black Oystercatcher
Western Sandpiper
Dunlin
Surf Scoter
Belted Kingfisher
Ring-billed Gull
California Gull
Glaucous-winged Gull
Brown Pelican
Brandt's Cormorant
Caspian Tern
Pigeon Guillemot (off ferry)
Red-tailed Hawk (Sequim)

Notably absent though common on previous trips:
turnstones, Heerman's Gull, murres

Non-bird sightings: Sea Otters, lots of fur seals, tidepool
racoon family, Sunflower Stars, Blood Stars, Porcelin Crabs,
Kelp Crab, Purple-shore Crabs, Dungeness crabs, Lemon
nudibranct, Gum-boot chiton, Mossy chiton, Lotsa limpets.
