Greets Tweets,
I was out canoeing yesterday in the late afternoon and I encountered an
active pied-billed grebe nest. One of the parents was sitting on at least
one egg. She moved her bottom enough to see it when our canoe came just a
touch too close for her comfort. I queried a fellow Tweeter regards the
standard nesting season for grebes. He suggested I post this to the Tweeters
board in case anyone was interested. To me (who doesn't know diddley-squat
yet -- but I am learning) it seemed late to be hatching eggs but Roger says
that ain't necessarily so.
