My feeders are near my garden which i was working in yesterday.
In the early evening I went out again and there at the beginning of
the path was a deceased common tern.

Since I live in an urban environment (one block from northgate), I doubt
if it was attracted to my birdbath, and also doubt it was killed by
any of the killer kitties in the area.

My assumption is, since it appeared to a relatively fresh corpse, that
some raptor had dropped his/her supper while passing over the yard.

Nice chance to see a tern up close. The wife put it in the freezer.
