>Kelly is correct re westside nesting of Golden Eagles there were perhaps 2
pairs nesting in the general area of the Doty Hills-- west of Chehalis
during this periode . A large population of Mt. Beavers and snowshoes had
developed on extensive and contiguous clearcuts. Tough to regeneration but
as plantations survived and grew the habitat for small prey species declined
and the eagles left. Bill
