Subject: World Bird Count (WBC)

Hi, Tweets

Does anyone on Tweeters participate in this count? I heard about it rather
vaguely last fall, but by the time it seemed rather interesting it was too
late. This year I received a posting from the SA list, a short paragraph
which follows. The money goes to BirdLife International which is building
"the world's largest database of bird species." This database will be
available for public use, evidently. So, to make a long story short, the
home site of this count is very interesting from a global position; it's
also well-organized and attractive.

Cheers, Diann
