Mike,
Rogers Lake in Okanogan County is perhaps the best area in which to find a
Spruce Grouse. Very few are seen in Yakima County. The secret to finding a
Spruce Grouse is to get out in the woods early and answer nature's call.
Spruce Grouse are evidently attracted to that out of curiousity, I guess.
Many on Tweeters have gotten their first looks at a Spruce Grouse when they
are in a "compromised position". It is probably a big game with a Spruce
Grouse. It might even be best to wait to go after Spruce Grouse until you
have diarrhea because the more times you have to go the better your chances
are. If you think I am joking, e-mail Andy Stepniewski and ask him.
