Wayne, I suspect that the numbers going through North Bend would be at least
that high but unfortunately I have never been able to do a proper count and
the one that was a high of 23 was done in a matter of 10 to 15 minutes
because that was the only way I could avoid duplication.

My point was that there was not a significant number of birds being reported
in the lower Fraser Valley at least counts that don't seem to reflect the
higher numbers in the Fraser Canyon.

Are these birds heading south via a different route that uses the Skagit
Valley in Washington or are they just dispersing in the Fraser Valley and
appearing to vanish?

Well I must run and I won't be around for a few days so I hope I haven't
stirred up too big a contoversy.
