Just a quick note, today at around 4:00 at the Tokeland Marina, there was a
Hudsonian Godwit in the flock of Marbled Godwits roosting on the jetty in
front of the boat launch. I first noticed the bird when the whole flock took
off and I saw the white rump and Black wing linings from underneath. The
birds where airborne for about 2 minutes and the Hudsonian was really
striking. They alighted on the mudflats for about 2 more minutes before a
Peregrine spooked the whole flock which then flew off.
Thats about it.
Good birding
