Tammy and I went for a walk at Theler wetlands (where the Union River enters
hood canal near Belfair) this afternoon at about 6pm and saw about 20
Bonaparte's gulls in winter plumage flying around at the dike trail. They
were feeding on insects in the air and flying like swallows circling around
and catching the bugs in the air.
