Forgot to mention in my post on Tiffany Mt. on the abundance on Red
Squirrels. I have seen them up here before but never in these numbers. I
estimated probably seeing 3-4 per mile of driving or walking in the areas
from Roger Lake to Thunder Mt. I inspected each one and could find no
Douglas Squirrels, the other main mammal seen was Yellow-pine Chipmunk,
which is to be expected in this habitat. Sorry if this mammal info is of
no interest to some people, but it seems an intersting natural history
observation so hopefully it will be of interest to some.
