I recently purchased a Dazzle DVC system (USB version) to digitize,
edit,
and store the wildlife video on DVD. The digitizing and editing was
relatively simple. The qualityof the video stored on the hard drive was
marginal in that there was detectable jerkiness in most action scenes,
which is most of wildlife
shots. The quality of the video when re-recorded to analog tape is most

politely described as crappy; poor image quality, very detectable
jerkiness. The system does not come close to being what I want for
storing video.

Before trashing the Dazzle I compared the quality of still images I
could get from it with images made with Snappy 3.0 at the same time,
from the same source, and using the same equipment. The test images
were 2
birds; a canyon wren and a white-crowned sparrow. If you are
