Hello Tweeters,
Today i din't think of going anywhere, but it din't take me to long to get
ready to look for the RARE HUDSONIAN GODWIT which was still in Tokland
since last week. So when we stopped at the Chehalis Wildlife called also
Schouweiler i saw right in front Dragonflies flying. The bad think i did
not had my net with me.Patrick birded and I looked for Dragonflies. In less
than 45 minutes I managed to find 7 species, nothing rare but taken photos
of the :Paddle-tailed Darner (Aeshna palmata) is unusual because Darners
are usual never perch. This is the one Dragonflie which i photogrphed in
flight on Ocean Shores in 1996 and this was the one species what got me
started being interested of so called "The Hawks of all the Insects" When i
finnished with taken all the Photos (and there are many i got close and
picked this Dragonflie with my fingers what is also verry unusual.i took
more photos of most Dragonflies today Which where this species:PACIFIC
FORKTAIL, SPOTTED SPREADWING, COMMON SPREADWING,BOREAL BLUET, PADDLE-TAILED
DARNER, STRIPED MEADOWHAWK, YELLOW-LEGGED MEADOWHAWK.
Being at Tokeland and looking at the HUDSONIAN GODWIT birders was most
interested in my Dragonflie how Beautiful there are close up in you hand.So
with this week ending it turned out OK despite all the bad weather i had in
the mountain, i can realy say you have to go on trying for better things to
come.
