Jerry describes a very lengthy process to capture the maps. For some purposes,
it may be possible to simply have the view of the map you want on you screen,
then push Alt+PrintScreen. Open up Paint (usually found in
Programs.Accessories), and choose Edit.Paste. This will give you a bitmap
representation of the screen. You can crop it in Paint, save as a .BMP file,
then convert that to .GIF or .JPG using any image editing program. As I say,
for some purposes, this might be MUCH easier and cheaper. Pay attention to
copyright issues though!
