Hi Tweets,

I had a nice morning at Shoreview. The birds were
much more active than Monday when I went down there.
The Golden-crowned Sparrows have showed up in force.
The Juncos have also started to over-run the open
areas. By contrast I only found one White-crowned
sparrow in my hour down there. My favorite sparrow
hedge also had some Lincoln's and Song sparrows in it,
but not much else to speak of. I managed to turn up
an Orange-crowned Warbler, and a late Tanager as well.
There was also a Purple Finch singing HER heart out.
Actually, it could be a male that just hasn't moulted
yet, but I think we have already covered that
thread:-) All in all not a bad morning for the last
week of September.
