Regarding The Brewer's Blackbird post......

I thought the Brewer's were ordinary year round parking lot birds. I see
them all the time. Are my sightings the exception? I'll see them regularly
down by the Super Mall, especially in the Wal Mart parking lot. I've even
seen them along West Meeker between Washington and the river. Are the
Brewer's commuter birds as opposed to migratory birds?

When I lived in Bakersfield, CA Brewer's Blackbirds were as common as
European Starlings are here. They were so common down there, one of my
college biology teachers called Brewer's "junk birds". I was thrilled to
see them up here.
