Monday and Tuesday I birded Stevens Co. East of Colville on the way to
Little Pend Oreille NWR is Hatch Lake. There were 3 Pectoral Sandpipers, 1
Long-billed Dowitcher, 1 Baird's Sandpiper, plus lots of turkeys roaming the
woods. Anyone in that area may want to keep an eye out for unusual
shorebirds there at Hatch Lake just west of the road seems best.
