A dark, cold, grey morning, though no fog. Things seemed REALLY quiet, but I
still managed 39 species.

Highlights included:

Western Grebe 2 in lake - first of fall
Green Heron Nice adult near rowing dock
Ring-necked Duck 2 at weir - first of fall
Wood Duck 2 in slough
American Coot First large group of fall
Northern Harrier 2 over R/C flying grounds
Hairy Woodpecker Uncommon at Marymoor
American Pipit 4 on grass soccer fields
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1 - first of fall
Golden-crowned Kinglet 1 - first of fall
Yellow-rumped Warbler 1 - first of fall

We also had a nice look at a startled Coyote as we came to the East Meadow.

Also, there were several small V's of Canada Goose flying into the park this
morning. One had a single bird of the "minima" subspecies. I have often seen
one or two minimas on the ground in flocks of our "normal" Canadas. I had
often ondered if they flew together, or simply gathered on the ground together.
I guess they do fly together.
