I sent a follow up yesterday must it must have been w/ my other email
address w/ is not subscribed to tweeters. So here's some more information
on Ross's Geese and good URL. Most Ross's migrate northeast from their
western interior wintering grounds somewhere south of Washington,
presumably crossing the Rockies and continuing north through Montana and up
to their Canadian Arctic breeding grounds where 95% of all Ross' geese nest
in the Queen Maud Gulf Migratory Bird Sanctuary. This would explain why so
few are seen in WA (mostly east of the Cascades presumably) but are
somewhat regular in small numbers in Idaho.
