The April 1st Port Townsend Marine Science Center cruise of spring migration
to Protection Island resulted in the sightings listed below. Bald Eagles,
both mature & immature continue to be in great abundance. The mammal
sighting of the day was the largest male elephant seal we've ever spotted on
Protection Island, on the north shore of Violet Spit.
