Hello Tweetes,
Today is the first time the Female Rufous and the Female Anna's
Hummingbirds sitting peaceful together an one feeder together.So there are
both sharing the yard and the feeders.Both Male Rufous and Anna's are not
been seeing since March 30th. That usual means there bred the females and
looking for more females around.I been taken notes on this behavier and
finaly had figure this out what happen year after year that when there bred
the female, there have no more intersted in her.The Male comes on occasion,
but will leave after he feeds.As of before he perches for a long time
waiting for the female to attract her.
I feel so fortune that i have both species in my yard. I been hanging my
Leave Mister out what creates a fine mist.Misters are the only type of bird
bathing devise used by hummingbirds.
Since January the 8th i have a male Townsend,sWarbler comming every day
yesterday he was joined by a female Townsend's splashing in the birdbath
together. It is not usual common that this species staying this long around
in one yard.I have so manny photos of this bird it fills an Album.Many
photos been taken on the little Noble Fir what i bought shortly for
christmas. I had almost every bird what visit my yard in this little tree,
including the Slate colored Junco.
