Sharon, I came back from a bike ride along the Little Calumet river, I was
about 10 and I told my aunt and uncle that I had seen a flock of red winged
blackbirds.Ii was told there was no such bird, I went to the library the
next day , got a field guide and showed them!!
I too, became a teacher and would wait to see proof before saying yea or
nay!
