I just picked up a copy of a new western birding book: Birding in the
American West:A handbook by Kevin J. Zimmer. Published by Cornell Univ.
Press at $24.95 paperback and is 402 pages long.
It is a good introduction to western birding covering the following
topics: Techniques of finding birds,techniques of identifying
birds,keeping field notes, difficult identifications:beyond the field
guides and finding the western specialties.
