Wayne, Unfortunate as it is you are so right. I live in the bonney lake
area, a block from lake tapps, and the homeowners on lake front even have
covenants they have to obey concerning their lawns,keeping i neat trimmed and
green. The lake is polluted because of the crap they put on it, and yet I
know many of these homeowners also keep bb or pellet guns at their back doors
to shoot the geese. Plus it is common in the midwest
especially in the winter, to feed huge amounts of grain to these birds.
I as well as many would like to see an end to the over population, and an
elimination the the house sparrow, and starling;but it seems an impossible
task. I however have finally convinced my husband not to fertilize anymore,
and let the grass be overcome by the moss, which wants to dominate anyway. If
we all do our part, maybe someday......Vicki
