April 8, 3:22 AM - Hello, this is Dave Beaudette at (206) 365-2083. This
report is for April 7 in Snohomish County. At the Portage Creek Wildlife
Area near Arlington a RUFFED GROUSE was seen in flight near the parking area
and nearby was a singing male COMMON YELLOWTHROAT. At the Smith Farm
Wildlife Area near Stanwood at the thicket at the parking area at the end of
Ice Road was a molting HARRIS SPARROW. From the parking area follow the main
dike south, then west and eventually north. In the thicket there along the
dike was an immature NORTHERN GOSHAWK on a pheasant kill. Good Birding!
