Hi, Tweets

Sometimes it pays to ignore one's work and go outside and play hooky - even
in one's yard. Yesterday at 1320 I went out to chop some wood and heard a
familiar hooting in the ravine that I haven't heard in at least a year -
barred owls. It continued for about ten minutes and that was it. My
band-tails are also courting and their "hoos" can be heard in the
evergreens; the winter numbers are down to two!

Cheers, Diann
