At home in Western Skamania County the first WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS
arrived on April 8. We still have a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE feeding on
viburnum berries and two YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS came to the bird bath,
our first warbler migrants of the year here.
On the same day at the Steigerwald Lake N.W.R. in Clark County there
were seven GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE, one GREATER YELLOWLEGS, three
DUNLIN, a SORA, and three BARN SWALLOWS.
