Where are all of the California quail? I see them fairly regularly in the
summer months,
but they seem to vanish in winter. Given their weak flight, I can't imagine
they go very
far. Do they congregate in large numbers in specific areas? Do they simply
move
gradually south a couple of hundred miles? Or are they around and I'm just
missing
them somehow?
