Tweets,

A nice couple of days birding in the neighborhood; yesterday I found a
Townsend's Solitaire on the empty parcel across the street, and actually
got to see the orange on a singing Orange-crowned Warbler. Today I found a
displaying Calliope Hummingbird; though it's the first time I've seen this
species here, I didn't think it was that unusual until I saw that the NGS
range map doesn't show it here, and it's not on the Thurston County
checklist. Any comments on frequency of occurence of Calliopes in the Puget
lowlands? Thanks...
