In 1992, Alan Contreras and I found (apparently) breeding
Brewer's Sparrows in stunted Mountain Hemlock in the Mt
Jefferson Wilderness Area, Marion/Jefferson Co, OR (about
5800ft). We speculated on the possibility of Timberline
Sparrows, but never had the chance to follow up with a more
thorough effort (Dan Thackaberry and I had to turn back
because of snow in 1998).

We banded and measured the following:
