On March 29, Ruth Fischer and Nancy LaFramboise discovered 2 drake CINNAMON
TEAL on the Yakima Delta.

The following day, Ruth reported a GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET in her south
Richland yard and at least 1 VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW near the KMart store in
Kennewick.

On April 4, the best shorebird day to date, I (BW) found 5 BLACK-NECKED
STILT, 36 AMERICAN AVOCET, 8 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, and 50 DUNLIN on the
Yakima Delta as well as 3 CASPIAN TERNS. The following day I reported a
pair of OSPREY building a nest on the platform across the Columbia River
from the Hampton Inn in Richland.

On April 7, 1 FORSTER'S TERN appeared on the Yakima Delta and by the Acme
concrete facility in south Richland I (BW) saw 5 YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS
and the first local BARN SWALLOW.

Laurie Ness found a LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE along the Snake River Road about 3
miles west of the Pasco-Kahlotus Road and a CASPIAN TERN at Ice Harbor Dam
on April 8.

Also on April 8, I (BW) had a LINCOLN'S SPARROW at my feeder, while on
April 10 at the series of ponds east of Leslie Road in south Richland, I
watched a Red-tailed Hawk dive-bombing an adult GOLDEN EAGLE and found 2
more LINCOLN'S SPARROWS. Also, a single FORSTER'S TERN remained on the
Yakima Delta and a single PINE SISKIN appeared at my feeder.

To report your own sightings, please give your name, phone number and
sightings after the tone. Thank you.
