Hello,
This morning, the first Orange-crowned Warbler of Spring, 2000, was
foraging in the Red Alder canopy just outside my condo windows......NE
edge of Seahurst Park in west Burien. I have also received a report of up
to 5 Great Blue Heron nests in the trees near the senior center at Des
Moines Creek Beach Park just north of the Des Moines Marina. I'll try to
check this 'eagle-challenged' heronry out ASAP (and the recently
reported Whimbrel, too.)
Cheers,
Maureen
