David Chelimer wrote that the CB CHICKADEES couldn't figure out his
satellite feeder, while the BC CHICKADEES and other small birds used it with
no problem.

When I used a satellite-style feeder, I noticed it seemed to be an indicator
of bird IQ. GOLDFINCHES couldn't figure it out, while their close
relatives, PINE SISKINS, chowed down. It was designed for very small birds,
but EVENING GROSBEAKS had no trouble contorting themselves to use it. One
STELLER'S JAY grabbed seeds by hovering.

It is interesting to see who's smart enough to use different style feeders.
