Hello Tweeters,
While looking for my first Dragoflie the Ashna californica at the Clear-Cut
in Lacey,i discovert the first male Chipping Sparrow there.I made the Loop
and only saw one singing male. This is the area where we always get high
count on Shipping Sparrows every year.At one time we counted on 20
individuals.Since we went there Saturday and Ryan Shaw was there Monday,i
believe for this area it is the first.I did not find any arrival of
Dragonflies there yet. This is the area where i had the first Darner last
year the 4-24-99.But the earliest record for this species is April 1th. On
Black-Lake Meadows there is also a female CINNAMON TEAL sighted yesterday
afternoon.
